He is an architect: at present, he is working for the City of Strasbourg where he has designed several buildings. He is breeding Siameses since 1973, Orientals and ocicats since 1990. His cattery is named “de la Rouvière”; it’s the name of the place where he was born in the South of France. He has two ebony queens, one Havana; his goal is to obtain the most harmonious body type with the best possible even and green eye colour.
He was president of the Cat Club of Paris for 3 years and he founded the Cat Club de l’Est in the East of France. He acted as a member of the FIFe judges and LO Commission and is one of the translators of the Fife breed standards and FIFe judges examination questions. He passed his examination for Siamese and Orientals (cat. 4) in 1992 than the shorthair cats (cat.3) in 1993. He became judges for cat 1 (Persians and exotics) in 1997 and finally passed the category 2 for semi-long hairs in 2002. He is also passionated by the flowers and likes to work in the garden when he find the time for that between the numerous cat shows where he is invited to judge. In 2010, he will have the honour to judge for the third time in Australia, a country where he loves the atmosphere of the shows and the kindness of the exhibitors...
Fabrice Calmes FIFe
Fabrice Calmes is a French international FIFe judge. He is a public relations
and marketing manager for a European energy company. He works in Strasbourg (France). He has
studied journalism and is currently a member of the International Press Club. In 2010, in order to further his education in conjunction with his professional role, he will
be undertaking an Executive MBA in Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Since he was a child, he always had cats : Turkish van, household pet and later Siamese, Orientals cats and Ocicats. He never could find enough time to breed the way he would have like due his professional responsibilities and also because he is invited to judge all over Europe nearly every week-end. Nevertheless, in the future, he would like to start breeding again. He has always been involved in the cat fancy : president of the Cat Club de l’Est ( France) for 8 years, vice-president of FIFe for three years, president of the French feline federation for three years, chairman of the technical commission from the FFH in Switzerland and member of the FIFe Judges and standards commission, etc. He first passed his examination for the semi-long hairs cats (FIFe cat. 2) in 1994 than for the Persians and exotics cats (FIFe cat.1) in 2001. Since 2007, he has been judging short hair cats (FIFe cat. 3). This year, he will be judging for the first time in Australia and is really looking for that new adventure...

Kurt Vlach TICA
I was born in 1962 in Vienna/Austria. My first cats (HHPs) I had in the 1980ies, my first pedigreed cat, a Maine Coon, I got in 1991. I started my "carrier" in the cat-fancy in the same year as an exhibitor, got a stud and had my first litter in 1993 under the cattery-name "Skywalker". I used to show in FIFe and bred quite successful (including one of the World Winners 1997). In 1996 I introduced TICA to Austria and founded the "Blue Danube Cat Club" and subsequently changed my cattery-name to "Dreamhunter". I also owned and bred Siamese and Oriental Shorthairs.
I entered the TICA-Judges Program and became a judge in 1999. In the meantime I am an Approved Allbreed Judge and Ring & School-Instructor. I had the chance to judge all over Europe, Canada, USA, Japan and in 2008 I had the pleasure to judge for the first time in Australia. In my "real" life I work for an international bankgroup in the Private Banking Division.
I am married to Tomoko, another TICA-Judge who was born in Japan and lives since one year in Austria, we don't have children but five cats (unfortunately we don't have the time to breed anymore). Other hobbies of mine are music (I write reviews for two opera-magazines), art in general and history.

Cath Walker TFANSW
I purchased our first pedigree cat, a Siamese, in 1992 and registered our prefix Gradach, shortly after that. Over the years my family have bred Group 2 and Group 1 breeds including Siamese, Balinese, Ragdolls (also under the Dancingmist prefix) & Maine Coons. We have been breeding Maine Coons since 1994 and have bred them solely since early 2000's. Over the years our Maine Coons have competed successfully in Australia, New Zealand and America some enjoying multiple Best In Show Awards and Cat of The Year Awards.
I have enjoyed membership of The United Maine Coon Fanciers Club of Australia since 2001 being a foundation member and am a member of The Feline Association of NSW Inc. Since early 2008 I have served on TFA's committee enjoying the opportunity to share the joys of pedigree cat ownership and showing with our members and the public. I commenced my judging training in 1998, and commenced judging in 2000 (Group 2). I have been judging Group 1 since 2002. I have enjoyed judging assignments in NSW, Qld, Tas & New Zealand.
Jo-anne Frank GCCFSA
The first pedigree cat I owned was a Seal Point Siamese boy named Sutek that my husband Anton bought me six months after we got married - that was twenty six years ago. We began breeding under the prefix of 'Minsai' in 1988, specialising in Chocolate Point Siamese. We bred our first show cat - a neuter boy - from the first litter we bred; Minsai Khublai Khan. He won All Shorthair Neuter in 1989 and was Siamese neuter of the Year 3 years in a row. One of our highlights was winning Supreme Exhibit at the Royal Adelaide Show in 1995 with Minsai Dream Lady, the first time a Group 2 exhibit had achieved this result.
We have bred both Siamese and Orientals with equal success, winning numerous Supreme Exhibit awards and Cat, Kitten and Neuter of the Year at both Group and Breed levels. After working in Ticket rooms and managing shows, I applied to become a steward and was appointed as a senior steward in the early 1990's. I became an Open Group 2 judge in 2005 and was appointed to the ACF National Panel of Judges in 2006. In 2008, I completed Group 3 and qualified as an All Shorthair Judge. I have judged in Victoria, NSW and Queensland as well as local South Australian shows for both Governing Council and the Feline Association of South Australia. My other interests include motor bikes, reading and if I get time (I work full time), knitting and crochet.
Janis Brasher CVInc.
As long as I can remember I have always been owned by a cat, in fact my husband calls me a Cataholic. I purchased my first pedigree cat a Blue Point Siamese about 32 years ago for my daughter. The breeder suggested I join her club and show him, which I did and as they say the rest is history. I trained as a Steward and spent many years enjoying working under different judges and all the while learning about the cats I handled. I had a short foray into breeding, due to a very full on job, and bred Singaraja Sings Johol (otherwise known as Mouse) and we enjoyed many years of travelling around Australia to shows. He was very successful and won many BiG and BIS. He was a real ‘Show Pony’ and loved showing off especially to the judges, a camera, and TV. I started my training with Group 2 and then extended my licence to become an All Shorthair Judge. This year I hope to commence my training with Group 1. At present I have all Group 2 breeds with one lonely Group 3 (an Egyptian Mau) who is the Alpha cat in the household
